Last STEP before our BIG Start

On October 21th we received an invitation for delegetion by IANA which is the last step before being able to start operation!

Everybody speaks about the topic “First New gTLDs Get the Green Light for Delegation”. Yes! It is true! On Monday, October 21th, we were pleasantly surprised with the big news and started to fill the all kinds of forms needed for IANA. Yes, .САЙТ and .ОНЛАЙН are among the first 4 domains, cleared to proceed to delegation.

What happened until this moment?

As a Registry that will operate two of the new IDN gTLDs CORE’s team had to complete the rigorous application process (designed to protect the stability of the Domain Name System while introducing new gTLDs into the Internet). Which exactly were the steps/phases?

•     Evaluation - passed in the beginning of this summer
•     Resolution of Holds - there were neither “Objections” or “String Contention” against us
•     Contracting - signed on July 14th 2013
•     Pre-Delegation Testing - completed by end of August 2013

Where to now?

We and the whole world are “tremble in anticipation” of our delegation, which means = the START on the FIRST Domain names in this rapidly changing Internet!
