Are you still asking why?

Here is the answer: of course, I will speak about domains: for the first time the Cyrillic world will take a good and warm “WHOLE seat” in the hall of Internet. Not like a “half seat”, as till now by registering a domain name in Cyrillic you clearly show to the world from which region are you/your company. NO. From now on this will change!
The GENЕRIC top-level domains .САЙТ and .ОНЛАЙН are comming.
We already created for you the first two examples: дом.сайт and дом.онлайн.
After 16th of January everybody can follow these examples and create the name of their own webpage totally in Cyrillic using .САЙТ and/or .ОНЛАЙН.

How we separated the first dates in phases by priorities?

• from NOW - to January 15th, 2014: So, now we are in the pre-starting period. We are looking for the so called Pioneers or Ambassadors (famous and big companies or celebrities that want to be among the first ones and show to the world how easy, useful and important is to have a website named in Cyrillic).
• January 16th, 2014 - to the middle of March: Here is the so called Launch Phase that includes the following categories: 1. Public administrations 2. Trademarks in Cyrillic registered in TMCH 3. Trademarks in Cyrillic, which have no registration in TMCH 4. Trademarks from TMCH transliterated in Cyrillic 5. Landrush (everybody can be an applicant for a domain name but in higher price in order to be the first. If there are more than one candidate for one string - they go to auction). This period lasts 60 days. It doesn’t matter if you give your application on the 3th or on the 40th day. Everything will be reviewed and evaluated under the as previously said priority - so if you are part of Public Administration you have the top-priority.
• In the beginning of April (maybe on 2nd) will start the so called “General Registration” period - where everybody can register whatever he wants by using one of our accredited registrars (here you can see a list with them).

Here we are: new year = new project = new domain names = new world!
