Every year EuroDIG takes place in a different European country thereby enabling the local community to broadly participate in the debate on an European level. EuroDIG is build on an open network to discuss and exchange on emerging issues and challenges concerning the Internet, between all stakeholders (governments, international organization, business and civil society) and other interested communities, covering the 47 member states of the Council of Europe.

EuroDIG was launched in 2008 and, so far, has held seven annual events (Strasbourg 2008, Geneva 2009, Madrid 2010, Belgrade 2011, Stockholm 2012, Lisbon 2013, Berlin 2014).
